Token Tado Country Club, Nagoya

The Token Tado Country Club Nagoya is located in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture. It takes 30 minutes from Kuwana Station by car,  20 minutes from Kuwana East IC of Higashi Meihan Expressway by car.

This course, opened in 1990, was designed by Yasushi Kaizu. The course was certified as officially course by “TOUR CHAMPIONS CLUB” of JGTO (Japan Golf Tour Organization) and LPGA (The Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association of Japan). And “Token Home Mate Cup” the opening game of Japan men’s professional golf tour is held. To keep the grass same green color all around the year, overseeding and coloring are carried out.

The 2nd hole is 416 yards par-4, and the vertically long pond on the right side of the course makes you nervous. But if you aim too left, the forest in left front of the green disturbs your par-on shot. As the green area is very large 871 square meter, it is necessary to adjust according to the pin position of the day. The 3rd hole is 210 yards par-3, and it has gourd-shaped pond. The hole is famous for beautiful landscape, there is the pond in the foreground and the bamboo forest in the background. If your shot flies over the green, the approach shot becomes very difficult. So the accuracy of shot is required.

The 10th hole is 442 yards par-4. As the against wind is blowing all over the year, it feels as if a par-5 hole. The distance and ball control is required to get on the green in two shot because the course is long and narrow. When the wind is strength, it is said that it is different from usual about 50 steps by foot and 4th distance by the club. The 11th 443 yards par-4 hole is famous hole that the back tee is located on a floating island in the whirlpool-shaped pond. The player who plays the hole at first time will be surprised with the beautiful view. And the hole has a lot of fans of regular players. The rate of greens in regulation is low. And the green slope is low at the back, so you must put the ball in front of cup. The 13th 240 yards par-3 hole is one of the most beautiful holes of the 18 holes. There is the teahouse  “Hekisouan” looks like Kinkakuji the famous Japanese temple in Kyoto. And it is very beautiful that the teahouse is reflect on the pond. The pond continues from the left side to the back of the green and the green is low at the back from center. The hole also has bunkers and waterfall. The 18th 454 yards par-4 hole is downhill. There are 4 fairway bunkers in the left side point where the ball will fall at the tee shot, a pond and a beach bunker in the second shot point. The challenging and beautiful hole is required quite high skills.

The training facilities have a driving range, a putting green, a chipping area and a bunker driving range. There is also golf simulation systems and you can round the world-famous courses. The clubhouse is high class and cozy, and it has adjoining Hotel Tado Onsen which has natural hot spring.
