Description

Seta Golf Course, North Course is owned by Prince Hotel in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It is 2km from Seta Nishi IC on the Meishin Expressway, 10 minutes by car from Ishiyama Station of the JR Tokaido Line. It is easily accessible from both Osaka and Kyoto. The course was designed by Seichi Inoue the famous designer. The caddies accompany all groups. The course, opened in 1976, is selected the stage of USLPGA TOTO Japan Classic in 2018 and 2019. The green is composed of McKenzie the latest varieties of the Bent grass and it is the first time in Kansai region. So the course is keeping the best conditions all around the year.

The 2nd 189 yards par-3 hole is downhill. It is difficult because the bunkers are arranged around the green and the undulation of the green is harder than it looks. The 7th par-5 hole is uphill from the teeing ground to the green. As the slope of the green is tight, it is better to approach from the front of the green. At the 12th hole, the fairway looks like the back of the horse. If your shot bents to right of the fairway center, the ball rolls down to the rough. So it is better to aim the left side. The famous 14th hole is called “Witch Valley”. The deep valley on the left side gives fear to the player, but if you aim the right side at the teeing shot, it is possible to get a par. It should be careful the bunkers are placed around the green. The 18th 580 yards par-5 hole is toward  Mt.Komagatake. You can swing comfortably at the teeing shot.
