Description

Fuji Heigen Golf Club is located in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It takes 20 minutes from Gotemba IC of Tomei Expressway by car, 15 minutes from JR Gotemba Station by car.

The course, opened in 1959, has 27 holes designed by Yoshidata Hirose, is placed on the foot of Mt.Fuji the world heritage. This course is a relatively flat and vast course among the courses around Gotemba. The Fuji course is the longest course among the 3 courses. But the fairway is wide and straight, so you can play comfortably. The Hakone course is a challenging course that it has many doglegs. This course is suitable for testing your skills. The Tanzawa course is overall composed of short holes but these are characteristic. To play accurately and relaxedly is important to get a good score.

The 1st hole of the Fuji course is 435 yards par-4 hole that Mt.Fuji can be seen in front. The fairway is very wide that you can teeing shot without fear. The 4th hole is 423 yards HDC1 par-4. Though the distance is relatively long, you should be better to cherish accuracy more than distance. The aim point of the teeing shot is the foot of hill in the front left side of the course. The 7th 383 yards par-4 hole is a dogleg to the left, and the right side and the left side are out of bounds. The aim point of teeing shot is the left side of the forest in the middle of the course. The green is flat that you can aim the single-put enough. The 4th 408 yards par-4 hole of the Tanzawa course is the most beautiful and vast hole that Mt.Fuji can be seen. To get on the green in two shot is difficult and the approach skill is tested. The 9th hole is 472 yards par-5. Though the fairway is vast and Mt.Fuji can be seen in front, the fairway has many undulation and it is easy to make mistakes in the second shot. The right side and the left side are out of bounds, and if you bunker that it becomes difficult not only par but also bogie.

You can enjoy the chef’s elaborate dish at the restaurant with the great view of Mt.Fuji from the west side windows
